Bay Area Region Nutrition Network- Power Play (BARNN)
Organization description: Power Play conducts trainings for schools and community youth organizations on how to incorporate healthy kid activities into the classroom and after school programs.
Program description: Informational sessions and good nutrition materials materials, including: School Idea & Resource Mini Kit, the “Kids…Get Cookin'!” Cookbooks, and extensive Nutrition and Physical Activity Resource Guides for six Bay Area counties.

California Adolescent Nutrition and Fitness
Organization description: Engages communities and builds their capacity to improve the nutrition and physical activity status of California´s low-income African American, American Indian, Latino, and Asian/ Pacific Islander youth 10-14 years old.
Program Description: Nutrition & Physical Activity Workshop (English or Spanish) features nutrition and physical activities and games that have been tested and proven effective with adolescent audiences. Participants learn effective strategies for improving the nutrition and physical fitness status of the youth and how to implement the many resources available through CanFit

Collective Roots
Organization description: The mission of Collective Roots is to develop young urban leaders who understand where their food comes from and how their actions impact human and environmental health. Based out of the East Palo Alto Charter School, Collective Roots is interested in developing more school relationships in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
Program description: Collective Roots provides design and maintenance of school gardens, project-based and garden-based nutrition curricula, and youth leadership training programs that engage students in community food system changes. Community projects include formation of a new East Palo Alto Farmer’s Market (Spring 08) and a new local grocery.
