Food Standards

We work hard to ensure that we are serving high quality, fresh and healthy food to our schools. To achieve this, we uphold strict food standards and openly disclose them to the communities we serve:
  • We use organic and locally produced ingredients whenever possible
  • Every lunch is served with fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Our meals meet Whole Foods Market’s stringent quality standards
  • Our milk is rbST- and hormone-free and our meats are hormone- and antibiotic-free 
  • Our food is prepared fresh daily; we do not serve fried, overly processed, or microwaved food
  • Our food does not contain high fructose corn syrup or trans fats.
  • We feature foods that are free of artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, and sweeteners.
